As the African proverb says, it is easy to break a broomstick but virtually impossible to break a broom. Many healthcare providers in emerging markets operate like (skinny, under-resourced) brooms. They are often broken by the many challenges posed by their operating environment. That is where our healthcare delivery partnership comes in - to gather those strained broomsticks into a strong viable broom in service of healthcare.
Many societies have very poor health outcomes due to a lack of proper and context-relevant medical records management. There is a dangerous lack of continuity in healthcare as diagnoses and prescriptions lack (life-saving) context and information on the patients' medical history. This is a problem we are committed to addressing. To that end, we partner with other healthcare providers to improve their services by providing affordable and accessible medical records management for their patients and clinicians. By bringing these medical records to the digital threshold, we guarantee that patient health records are available as and when needed.
The service not only includes the core clinical (and hospital) personnel, it also integrates the constellation of clinic-adjacent service providers such as laboratory & analytical/diagnostic services; pharmacy and dispensary services; outpatient and supportive facilities (such as dialysis centers, physical therapy and rehabilitative centers, and the like); and so on. By way of these partnerships, these medical facilities (which are often resource-constrained) are able to maintain modern, reliable medical records for their patients (even when operating in low-bandwidth environments). These partnerships ensure that doctors and other medical practitioners have comprehensive and timely medical history on each patient they see. This is an intervention that saves lives.
Our partnership also provides secure, confidential channels for clinicians to collaborate, share ideas and learn from each other (often in real-time). This ability of clinicians to work cooperatively and collaboratively can make the difference between desirable and undesirable clinical outcomes. They also benefit from having access to mutual advisory services that help improve their overall performance as clinicians.
This is an important component in our commitment to building more affordable, durable and accessible healthcare systems.
